About Mrs. Caldwell

Welcome to Larkspur Elementary Kindergarten! My name is Kristin Caldwell and I will be your child's teacher.  Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. I am excited to work with you and your child. It is going to be a year full of fun, learning and lots of adventures. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little about me.

I have been married to my husband, Bill, for 19 years, and we have known one other since we were in second grade!  We have two sons. Our oldest son, Connor, is a junior at Castle View High School. Kai, the youngest, will be joining him at Castle View this year as a freshman. We are a family animal lovers. We have three Border Collie/Border Collie mix dogs (Durango, Puppy and Tucker), a cat (Fritz) and a turtle(Turty). I love spending time with my family and they take up most of my free time. Some additional hobbies that I enjoy are cooking, camping, hiking and traveling.

I grew up in a very small town in central Pennsylvania. I graduated from Penn State University in 2005. After spending a few years in Philadelphia, we moved to Colorado in 1999. We have lived in Parker and Durango. Larkspur has been our home for the past eight years. We love it here and plan on staying for a long time.

This will be my fourth year teaching Kindergarten at Larkspur Elementary. Prior to teaching here, I taught both public and private Preschool and Pre-K in Durango and Castle Rock. I absolutely LOVE teaching Kindergarten! It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I attempt to teach with a passion for my subject so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns along our kindergarten journey. It is important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need. I look forward to a great year together!
